unplanned meet-up
today's a day of meet-ups.. navigated my way to amoy food centre to meet keren and jeremy for lunch. the meanie told me to reach at 12pm in the end he was later and the temperature in the food centre was freaking hot. luckily both appear not long later else i'll just die of hunger. the nasi lemak and the teh si xiu dai are above my expectations. great meeting up with the pixie and getting to know that she's enjoying her internship =)
Proceeded to vivo city after lunch to meet wee yin (who was late again) and whilst we were walking towards page one, i saw someone super familiar OMG!! it was yanxi lo!!! didn't really have the chance to ask him to go out coz dunno which group can we ask him out with. OMG OMG!! really it's destiny to meet up with him after errrr, about 1 year? haha. been a long time since we saw him and he was free enough to watch avatar with us (re queue to buy an extra ticket since we bought ours le)
Avatar was better than i expected (though i still didn't like the blue things aka Na'vis outer appearance) no doubt, the movie was well-directed and love the graphics to bits - partially due to the use of fluorescent graphics for the night scenes) and I sat in the movie theatre till my legs went numb - freaking 2 hours plus movie, which justifies the price i paid to watch, on top of it being a great movie. cried super hard when they destroyed the huge tree, and it struck me that in reality, mankind is doing the exact same thing of destroying mother nature's wonderful creations. So much for being an Environmental Engineering student. I guess I feel much more for nature. The movie's a reflection of current day issues and a wake up call for us to be more aware of the ugly side of mankind's focus on commercialization rather than conservation.
after that xueyi also met up with us. so it ended up to be quite a weird group of me, jeremy, weeyin, yanxi and xueyi. but it cliqued all the same. and i felt like a super bright lightbulb. gosh! hahahaha. but nonetheless, it was a memorable outing of unplanned meetings =) maybe next time we can meet up like this again
