woots! Rag 2008 has ended! though it started off quite badly on 7th August coz of the rain and we almost had to postpone it to 9th August, but in the end we managed to pull it off by delaying it by 2 hours.
been camping in nussu sect since sunday. think i'm the only one who stayed through the 5 days in school and on some days the furthest i've went was the toilet outside nussu sect.
mon to wed was looking thru the income statement and financial forms, you can say it's a super dull job after a while. had to keep pressing the calculator to make sure the figures tally and basically my whole life was about numbers. i admire those auditors who have been doing this everyday. it's so boring lo. i even had to find a single 10cent that went missing from my calculations. arghs!
on thurs was doing the validator/judges files and adjusting my scoring template. manz. printed at least 1000 pieces of paper and hogged the printing system in cblc. was already half dead by then and had to do the filing for all the files/ prepare for validators meeting/ filing of judges file
rag day 080808! well, you can say i had the best view among the raggers however, i didnt get the chance to watch the show =( was furiously typing the scores into the excel spreadsheet and tallying it.
during preparations for rag, me and smelly melly was quite 自闭 in nussu sect and keep grumbling that we are super overworked administrative clerks (which was quite true coz all we face are papers, papers and more papers) think the rest of the raggers are thinking that we're slacking in nussu sect with aircon while they're slogging out in the sun. haiz. actually i rather do physical work. didnt know the job of the treasurer was super a lot of admin work. but nonetheless, i've learnt a lot from doing the treasurer's job.
of course, there are always the hidden conflicts present in the rag committee. wow! during and after rag, i heard different viewpoints from different people. cant always agree with everyone coz we dun see every side of the story. even on rag day itself, you can see black faces around and a few people who totally pissed us off. like wad mel said, it's on the actual rag day that itself that you see leaders emerging from the crowd, the people who can work under pressure.
end of another chapter of school life. and school's starting tmr.
proud to be a nussu ragger =)
